Pastor A's Thought of the Day

  • I've got you covered

1 Peter 3:8 says "Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins."

Call or text somebody today and tell them, "I've got you covered."

  • Work it!

Proverbs 28:19 says, "He who works his land will have plenty of food, but he who follows empty pursuits will have poverty in plenty."

Are you chasing your dream or pursuing His will?

  • Listen to your Teacher

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go." Ps. 32:8

Raise your hands when you have a question.

  • It's Not Just Your Words

Psalm 19: 14 says "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer."

The ponderings of your heart is where God looks to see a reflection of Himself.

  • Follow the Leader

2 Corinthians 2:14 says "But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ."

Follow His lead today and everyday.

  • How hungry are you?

Matthew 5:6 says "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled."

Are you filling up on the right things?

  • Supersize your anticipation!

Ephesians 3:20 says "Now unto Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us."

Activate that power within you and think and believe BIG!!

  • God has never missed a deadline

Galatians 6:9 says "Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary."

Don't allow your schedule to conflict with His. His timing is always perfect.

  • Don't Just Do It

Ecclesiastes 9:10 says "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might."

Whatever God has placed in your heart to do, don't just do it. Do it with all your might!

  • True Trust

Psalm 40:1 says "I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry."

True trust is waiting without sweating.

  • Don't get lost in material possessions

1 Timothy 6:7 says "For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either."

Concentrate on the things you can take with you.

  • Use Your Weapons

"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds."  2 Corinthians 10:4

God has given you capable weapons and plenty of ammo. It's time you use them.

  • What are you hiding?

Psalm 119:11 says "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."

Make sure you are hiding the right things in your heart.

  • You are a good work in progress!

Philippians 1:6 says  “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Let God finish what He started.

  • Don't lose your fight!

    Ephesians 6:10-12 says

10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Sometimes a battle is unavoidable. But with godly courage and the right armor you can win every battle.

  • Keep your eyes on the prize.

Philippians 3:14 says "I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Don't allow anything to distract you from your purpose in Him!

  • Take a deep breath.

You just reminded your "self" that you qualify to praise God.

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!"  (Psalm 150:6)

  • Nobody or Nothing

Psalm 73:25 says "Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth."

Who or what is more important than the Lord? Nobody or nothing.

  • Do you have a Safe Room?

Matthew 6:6 says "When you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you."

Psalm 91:1 says "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty."

Make sure you have a safe place to go when things get a little rough.

  • Check the temperature of Your Love

Matthew 24:12 says "Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold."

Make sure your love for God always burns hot!
